5.Blink-182: Neighborhoods
a dash of Plus 44, a dash of AvA..but all B182.. hit or miss? a hit to me.. unlike some fans i rather listen to “difference” than similarity in music. the maturity of the songs like ‘Ghost on the Dancefloor’ or ‘Up All Night’.. but not to worry pop punkers, the love is still there with ‘Wishing Well’ and the very fast ‘Hearts All Gone’.
4.Foo Fighters: Wasting Light
heavy.. yes.. technical.. yes.. fresh.. very.. a long time foos fan, i think this is a gem of an album with the amount of pop/rnb/hiphop/indie music around. having this album is like having a childhood for me. it does not run away via concept and yet it’s different than my favorite album ‘One by One with the likes of ‘Walk’ ‘Rope’ and ‘White Limo’ the grunge genre is kept alive
3.Rise Against: Endgame
what can is say? i just love my politics in my music.. no different than any of their other albums but it’s strong messages always gets me.. ‘Help is On The Way’ ‘Make It Stop(September’s Children)’ and ‘Satellites’ makes my brain itch and my heart wanting more.
2.Yellowcard: When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes
ok my 3rd pop punk band. but i just can’t stop putting this down. lost of love and falling in love has always being my forte. maybe this album came at the right time and the right moment for me. ‘You and Your Denial’ ‘Hang You Up’ and ‘Soundtracks’ the taste of losing love and gaining it back is such a great experience for anyone.
1.Kanye West: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
yes i know it’s a 2010 album. but it gets me going on 2011..i have nothing but good things to say for this album. it is art.. it is fresh.. it is constantly on my ears.. it is kanye west.. ‘All of The Lights’,'Runaway’,'Monster’ and ‘Power’ gave me this certain angst towards authority,rules and love.. but in the same way giving me new found love to compositions..
